I often rode a Soma Rush during my Seattle messenger years in the late 2000s. The frame already had a couple years of daily messenger wear on it when I built it. I loved that bike, and it served me well. Fun bike, quick, resposive, and bombproof. Great work bike. That was the previous model.
When that frame was damaged in a crash, I did the only thing that seemed appropriate. I hung it on the wall and ordered a new Rush frame through my local bike shop. Turns out, it was a new model (the model listed below.) It is still my favorite bike. Solid with great handling, and large clearance for track geometry frame. And a 1" threaded fork! Oh, and its Tange Prestige...
The Rush has a swift geometry and stiff chassis, but the smooth riding blend of lightweight chromoly tubes makes it at home on chewed-up asphalt as much as the velodrome.
